The Wimberly Center for Community Development is housed in the historic former Winder-Barrow Middle School — a building that has educated generations of Barrow County families.
In 2016, when Winder was recognized as a USDA Local Foods, Local Places community, this building found a new purpose: bringing people together around food, health, and opportunity.
Today it's home to gardens, kitchens, classrooms, nonprofits, and neighbors — all working toward a stronger Winder.
